3 July Visited Brasov with Régis and Claudinne and train to Bucarest
On Wednesday morning, we visited the remainder of the town before we took a train back to Bucarest. We went up with a cable car on to the Mount Tampa (967m) to the south, from where you have the best view over the old town and the region. Claudinne and Regis were eager to try our bikes. The train back was comfortable. Once again we 'negociated' with the conductor over the price we had to pay to take our bicycles with us. The trainrail between the Northwest and Southwest of Romania is currently being modernised with money from the European Community. It is part of a plan to improve the transnational transport corridors in Europe. At night, we once again slept at the office of our friend Minco.
