4 July Visited Bucarest
On Thursday, we made a touristic trip in Romania. Minco's office is only a few meters away from the imense palace of Ceausescu. We were not allowed to take any pictures, unless you we paid. The rooms are impressive large, but not of the same beauty as the Peles Castle. Shuold you consdier a holiday in Romania, at least visit the Peles castle! From the people's palace, we walked trough the historic centre of Bucurest, which is a lively place. There you also find Manuc's Inn (Hanul Lui Manuc). According to our French friends, this is the best hotel to stay (good quiet rooms for a low price). Most churches in the old centre, like the Russian church, are currently renovated from the inside. In the afternoon with visited the peasant museum, which well demonstrated the way of living of Romanian farmers. This well complemented our holiday, when we mostly saw the outside of farmers' houses. If you want to see old wooden house you can visit the village museum of Romania.
