Holiday in Romania
5 July Plane to Amsterdam
Our last day was devoted to getting back to Amsteram. Although we had a direct flight, we also had to
take our bicycles with us. Minco was asked one of his employees to bring us to the airport. We put our
bicycles in the cardboard boxes and put them in the Dacia. However, we felt it was too dangerous to
also sit with three people in the two front seats, so one of us took the Airport bus. In the airport
everything went well with the bikes. Although the cardboard box keeps you bicycle in a better shape,
it not practical. Next time we would try the plastic bags. Another couple that cycled in Romania
choose the plastic variant. They had only had some scratches to their bikes. All in all this was a very
impressiva holdiday, although cycling in Romania is not always easy. This is the result of
underdeveloped tourism, while a place to sleep and to eat is not always easy to find. However, the
nature is beautiful and the way of living like Western Europe knew fifty years before.
